It allows the GPS to charge and be used at the same time. (unlike some of the other usb ac converters. Wish it had the FM transmistter. But no biggy the gps is getting old. Magellan 4250 Maestro. I the slim usb is pretty cool, but it didn't work for me. Unable to find drivers for it.
