I have dropped it several times and use it in very very harsh conditions (sand, rain, wind, heat) and it hasnt skipped a beat. It is absolutely durable. Also, I personally love that I can set up searches on geocaching.com and it uploads all geocaches within my search with ease. Excellent starter unit! I am actually purchasing another one for my sister and her family to start geocaching!Cons: I dislike that the compass doesnt work until you move, the screen is very small, base map cant be upgraded, and it is hard to see in the sunlight. Overall, we are very happy with the purchase of this item.
